Blind Dead trailer

Oct. 27, 2009by: Jake Dee

If you thought Oren Peli’s PARANORMAL ACTIVITY was rocking a micro-budget (roughly $11K), get a load of Cristian Toledo and Lucio Rojas’ Chilean zombie flick BLIND DEAD, produced for less than 1/5 that amount.

Seriously, two or so grand?I’ve spent more on a month’s worth of hookers!

Yet I digress.

Toledo and Rojas, two bright-eyed film students, set their foaming rabid zombie story:

In Chile in a near future, in a place which could be anywhere. An epidemic have finished with the most part of people and a mission composed by five militants and two scientists must go to the zero-zone, closed years ago, for trying to find a cure to the sickness which convert people to an animal and wild state. But the trip to the zone will be full of setbacks which will put in danger the mission.

There's no telling when BLIND DEAD will see the light of distribution, but if the flick resembles the retro-coolness of its poster, let's hope the thing gets released way sooner than later.

What’s cool about the trailer below is, besides looking damn impressive for a flick of about half of what my 1988 ride cost, the slow, moody music is also a pretty nice touch.

Have at it!

Extra Tidbit: Does it really get much better than low-tech foreign zombie fare?
