We've been keeping you updated on anything and everything BLOOD: THE LAST VAMPIRE for months now. From stills to posters to any bits of news we hear. You can even go ahead and check out The Arrow's review on the manga HERE.

Well today we've actually got the first trailer to feast your eyes upon! It's a bit of a teaser trailer, and is international... but you get the idea! It's right over in our videos section so go ahead and click through below to check that out!

Looks like we've got the same old jump play with swords you see in every Japanese movie, and that's fine with me! BLOOD: THE LAST VAMPIRE is about a vampire named Saya, who is part of covert government agency that hunts and destroys demons in a post-WWII Japan, is inserted in a military school to discover which one of her classmates is a demon is disguise. So the last vampire cutting up some badass demons with swords while doing crazy flips. Works for me!

BLOOD: THE LAST VAMPIRE comes from director Chris Nahon with a script penned by Ronny Yu and Kenji Kamiyama. It stars Gianna Jun as Saya, Colin Salmon, and Allison Miller. Go ahead and check out the official Japanese site right over here. It's set to hit theaters in the UK on May 29th but no word on a US release so make sure you keep it here for updates!

Extra Tidbit: Two of Ronny Yu's directorial efforts in the genre include BRIDE OF CHUCKY and FREDDY VS JASON.

It's hard to tell through such a short clip, but I have high hopes for this. Have the original anime film, and watched about half of the anime series (which was very good, taking the mythology and adding fascinating character depth, something the original film substituted for visual flair) and this looks like it might be a solid entry to the canon.

Best anime-to-live-action translation since Casshern? Hopefully this survives with equally impressive visuals, but a far more solid narrative.
