Blood-splattered eyes grace the official Suspiria poster

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Director Luca Guadagnino’s remake of Dario Argento's SUSPIRIA finally hits theaters via Amazon Studios November 2nd. And today we have the film's official poster… which is basically the film's teaser poster. That said, this new poster features the cast, which includes Dakota Johnson, Tilda Swinton, Chloë Grace Moretz, and Mia Goth's eyes in bloody-splatter across it, so I guess it's not EXACTLY like the teaser poster.

I love a good movie poster as much as the next guy, but this one underwhelms me, to say the least. I guess I was expecting something more… I don't know, elegant, I guess. Let's all just hope this isn't the final poster we see before Luca Guadagnino’s SUSPIRIA opens this November. Give the new poster – and yesterday's new clip – a look-see below and then let us know if you find the poster as lackluster as I do.

Scripted by David Kajganich, the new take on SUSPIRIA stars Dakota Johnson, Tilda Swinton, Mia Goth, Lutz Ebersdorf, Jessica Harper and Chloë Grace Moretz. The synopsis:

A darkness swirls at the center of a world-renowned dance company, one that will engulf the troupe's artistic director (Swinton), an ambitious young dancer (Johnson), and a grieving psychotherapist (Ebersdorf). Some will succumb to the nightmare. Others will finally wake up.

The remake is rated R for "disturbing content involving ritualistic violence, bloody images, and graphic nudity, and for some language including sexual references." Amazon Studios will be giving Guadagnino's SUSPIRIA a theatrical release in New York and Los Angeles on October 26, with the film expanding nationwide on November 2, 2018.
