Bodies get turned into liquid fertilizer in Aussie horror-comedy 100 Bloody Acres

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Can someone tell me why the hell news this week is moving at such a crawl?!?

As we normally do when things are this slow, I just happened on a new Australian horror-comedy listed in The Film Catalogue. The flick is called 100 BLOODY ACRES, which comes from sibling directors Cameron and Collin Cairnes. The film is currently in pre-production, so consider us lucky we even have a synopsis at this time. If so inclined, give her a look below.

James is heading to a music festival in the bush with girlfriend Sophie and best mate Wes. He plans to propose to her this weekend, unaware (for the moment) that she and Wes have been screwing on the sly. When their car breaks down, friendly local and co-owner of a struggling blood and bone fertilizer business, Reg Morgan stops to offer a lift. But Reg is eyeing off a business opportunity here: he and his partner, big brother Lindsay, have recently discovered a rich new ingredient to their organic blend – human corpses! James, Sophie and Wes are about to discover that relationships can be bloody hard work, especially when someone’s trying to turn you into liquid fertiliser.

Ah yes, human remains turned into liquid fertilizer…gotta love that shite. Hopefully this sucker keeps a dark comic tone, a la Stormare in the wood-chipper (FARGO). Not sure why, but that’s the image I got when reading that synopsis.

How about you? What impressions, good or bad, does 100 BLOODY ACRES give you?
