Brad Anderson’s Stonehearst Asylum (formerly Eliza Graves) coming in October

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

It's been several months since we heard any updates on the Kate Beckinsale-starring ELIZA GRAVES, with our last bit o'news on the flick coming back in September of last year when we shared the poster for the Brad Anderson-helmed film with you. Now we've learned that the film is finally coming our way this October but with a new title: STONEHEARST ASYLUM.

Millennium Entertainment has dated STONEHEARST ASYLUM, which is based on Edgar Allen Poe’s “The System of Doctor Tarr and Professor Fether", for an October 24 release. Michael Caine, Brendan Gleeson, Ben Kingsley, Jim Sturgess, and David Thewlis also star in this film that concerns…

…young doctor Edward Newgate (Sturgess) arrives at Stonehearst Asylum in search of an apprenticeship, he is warmly welcomed by superintendent Dr. Lamb (Kingsley) and a mesmerizing woman named Eliza Graves (Beckinsale). Edward is intrigued by Lamb’s modern methods of treating the insane…until a series of unusual events leads him to make a horrifying discovery, exposing Lamb’s utopia and pushing Edward to the limits of his conscience.

STONEHEARST ASLYUM boasts an impressive cast and I'm a fan of Brad Anderson's work so I have high hopes for this film. I'm just not too crazy over the new title. Here's hoping we see a trailer for this one soon.

Look for STONEHEARST ASYLUM this October.
