British gangster vampire flick Dead Cert heading to the US courtesy of Shout!

Do you guys remember us telling you all about that British vampire/gangster flick DEAD CERT? I wouldn’t blame you if you didn’t, the last update on this shite was way back in September! So what’s the deal yo?!

Well I have no idea what DEAD CERT has been doing for the past 8 months but what I do know is that this little diddy just scored itself some US distribution! Nice! According to Screen Daily the folks over at Shout! Factory are the ones who snatched this up, with plans to drop DEAD CERT sometime later this year. In other news the flick also sold in France (FIP), Germany (I-ON New Media) and Australia/New Zealand (Visual Entertainment Group).

A gang of tough London gangsters who get more than they bargained for when a group of businessmen make an offer to buy their club, the Inferno. They turn out to be nothing less than Vampires wanting their land back and turn viciously on the gangsters when their demands are not met.

The Steve Lawson directed film stars Jason Flemyng, Dexter Fletcher, Dave Legeno, Billy Murray, Craig Fairbrass, Steven Berkoff, Andrew Tiernan, Janet Montgomery, Perry Benson, Ciaran Griffiths, Joe Egan, Ian Virgo, Jennifer Matter, Lisa McAllister (below), Lucinda Rhodes-Flaherty, Lorraine Stanley, and Danny Midwinter.
