Cabin Fever remake trailer might make you sick!

01.29.2016by: Eric Walkuski

Even though it has Eli Roth's blessing (he's an executive producer and has been enthusiastically touting the project), I still don't quite understand the point of Travis Zariwny's CABIN FEVER remake. After seeing the first trailer, I understand it even less. It looks just like CABIN FEVER but with new actors. That's the point, I guess? A press release received yesterday offered that it contains "all new characters and all new kills," for whatever that's worth, and it does appear to be just as grotesque as its predecessor.

This story is familiar: fresh out of college, a group of five friends retreat to a remote cabin in the woods for one last week of partying- only to become snacks for a gruesome, flesh-eating virus. What’s surprising are the ingenious new deaths, which offer a fresh spin on a horror-comedy milestone.

IFC Midnight will release CABIN FEVER in theaters in NY and LA on February 12th. It stars Gage Golightly, Dustin Ingram, Nadine Crocker, Matthew Daddario & Samuel Davis.

Extra Tidbit: What's the verdict?

Hmmm?

Why? It looks loke they just added more guns and explosions.

And the point?

Aside from the attractive Matthew Daddario, I see NO POINT to this movie. It's the same damn movie down to the exact lines! And Cabin Fever is still a fairly recent film! 2002 is NOT that long ago.

What gets me is that 2002 isn't even very long ago. That's still pretty recent -__- If you're going to remake a movie that recent, why use the same script? Dumb.
