Check out these screenshots from Pacific Rim: The Game

PICTURES REMOVED AT THE REQUEST OF THE STUDIO

Seems only natural that PACIFIC RIM would get a video game: after all, this is a movie about giant robots fighting giant monsters, a scenario that lends itself to the video game format quite well. The folks at PacificRimMovie.net, a fansite devoted to Guillermo del Toro’s film, got their hands on a few nifty screenshots from the game, which were taken before the game was completed. Still, you’ll get a nice idea of what’s in store, as well as learn the names of some of the monsters.

The developer of the game, Yuke’s Co., will unleash it at some point this summer, but we really don’t know much more than that – other than it has been rated “M” for “Fantasy violence.” We’ll update you when we know more.

PACIFIC RIM opens on July 12th. (So expect the game to come out sometime around then.)
