Chris Hemsworth is in negotiations to work with his THE CABIN IN THE WOODS director Drew Goddard again on the thriller BAD TIMES AT THE EL ROYALE, and Jeff Bridges (pictured above in TRUE GRIT) may be coming along for the ride.

Bridges is in talks to play a down-on-his-luck priest in the film, which is

a contained thriller with either sci-fi or horror elements that is set in the 1960s at a dilapidated hotel in California’s Lake Tahoe region.

Yes, they're being very secretive about this one. No details were revealed about Hemsworth's potential character.

BAD TIMES AT EL ROYALE is expected to go into production early next year, with Goddard directing from his own script. In addition to directing and co-writing THE CABIN IN THE WOODS, Goddard has also worked on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Alias, Lost, Daredevil, CLOVERFIELD, THE MARTIAN, WORLD WAR Z, and DEADPOOL 2.

It has been tough to figure out how much enthusiasm to have for BAD TIMES AT EL ROYALE, since its "sci-fi or horror elements" remain a mystery, but if the deals are closed with Hemsworth and Bridges I'm going to be enthusiastic regardless of the sci-fi or horror elements.
