Tye Sheridan Joe

Tye Sheridan is a busy, busy kid, who not only has three films premiering at Sundance this month, but has just booked yet another indie role as he will star in DETOUR, a psychological thriller from SEVERANCE director Christopher Smith.

The news comes from THR, reporting that the film will center on Harper (Sheridan), a young law student who, while grieving for his dying mother, struggles to decide if he should kill his unfaithful step-father. In that hands of Smith and led by Sheridan, I have high hopes for this one.

Sheridan has also wrapped work on Paramount’s adaptation SCOUTS VS. ZOMBIES and the adaptation of Gillian Flynn's DARK PLACES, so it’s safe to say that we’re going to start seeing plenty of him around these parts. Smith and Sheridan should be a solid pairing and one that I’m excited to see come to life in DETOUR. More on this one as we get it!
