Anyone really that shocked?
Our demented brethren over at Bloody-D have confirmed that, yes, RESIDENT EVIL mainstays Milla Jovovich and Paul W.S. Anderson will indeed reprise their duties on a fifth franchise installment, subtitled RETRIBUTION.
Of course, none of this is all that surprising…especially given the series of tweets Jared relayed to you early this morning. They all but confirmed Milla and her hubby returning to the world of RE this fall.
As for RETRIBUTION, word is Anderson will once again direct from his own screenplay, guiding his wife Milla in the role of Alice. It was also discovered, via Twitter, that Sienna Guillory would also return as Jill Valentine. However, for reasons unknown, it seems Guillory’s part is being recast. We shall see how that pans out.
Set for an October start date, RE: RETRIBUTION is said to take place largely in Tokyo. Screen Gems is eyeing a tentative October 14, 2012 release for the film.
