Cool horror gear: vintage horror soundtracks on vinyl

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Record Store Day is approaching it’s annual event which falls on April 20th and will celebrate independently owned and operated music retailers — a rare sight to see these days. This is a pretty big event for music collectors because they often release limited editions of new, classic or even rare albums which can usually only be found at indie record stores. For this year’s special event, UK label Death Waltz has unleashed some wicked short run album pressings that will get horror fans all hot and bothered. Vinyl seems to be making a come-back as Mondo has dipped their artistic little hands in it as well lately. Damnit… I think I need to get a record player.

Each record comes in an old-school die-cut “disco bag” sleeve and includes a print of the art featuring the work of some fantastic artists like Graham Humphreys, Jeremy Wheeler and Mondo regulars We Buy Your Kids.

Below you can check out the artwork for the albums and be sure to head over to the Death Waltz site for much more details!
