From the little I've heard and read, J.J. Abrams' furtive monster-movie SUPER 8 is one of the best flicks of the year. Reviews are starting to seep out, and if the consensus holds, it sounds exactly like the kind of Amblin Entertainment we reveled in two and three decades ago. I cannot wait to see this sucker this weekend!
Anyway, three days prior to release, Cine1 has issued a cool new one-sheet for SUPER 8. As you can see, the shite's quite busy. How do you think it stacks up to others we've seen?
The summer of 1979, a group of friends in a small Ohio town witness catastrophic train crash while making a super 8 movie and soon suspect that it was not an accident. Shortly after, unusual disappearances and inexplicable events begin to take place in town, and the local Deputy tries to uncover the truth - something more terrifying than any of them could have imagined.
With a principal cast that includes Amanda Michalka, Kyle Chandler, Ron Eldard, Noah Emmerich, Gabriel Basso, Joel Courtney, Zach Mills, Katie Lowes, Marco Sanchez and Ryan Lee - SUPER 8 gets the 35 and 70mm treatment this Friday.
