Crispin Glover

Just a couple weeks ago, we heard that Crispin Glover would be "taking malevolence to a whole new level" as a psychopathic contract killer in Roger Avary's LUCKY DAY, and now comes word that Glover will also be starring in a horror film called SMILEY FACE KILLERS. It's not clear who he will be playing in the movie, but it's not hard to imagine him as one of the title characters.

SMILEY FACE KILLERS was scripted by AMERICAN PSYCHO author Bret Easton Ellis (who coincidentally also wrote the novel Roger Avary's movie RULES OF ATTRACTION is based on). The story is

based on actual events and the conspiracy theories that have arisen on the internet as a result of serial deaths of young men that shared common characteristics.

Ronen Rubinstein has been cast in the lead role. Also in the cast are Mia Serafino, Garrett Coffey, Amadeus Serafini, Cody Simpson, and Ashley Rickards.

The most exciting thing about this project for me is that fact that it reteams Glover with his RIVER'S EDGE director Tim Hunter.

SMILEY FACE KILLERS is currently filming "across multiple states". It's being produced by Braxton Pope, David Wulf, and Ellis. Silver State Productions' Jason Miller serves as executive producer.
