Darclight pimping out sales art & details for Cannes entry Harvest

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Well folks Cannes is right around the corner so you know what that means right? All kinds of indie horror flick goodness! So what do I have for you today? Details on a little flick called HARVEST. Ever hear of it? Don’t worry, nobody else has either.

Heading our way from Darclight Films and director Tony Tilse comes HARVEST, a spooky little flick that seems to center on a little farming village with a dark secret. Don’t take my word for it though, scope out the official synopsis:

For Ellie, Tom and Alf, scared and on the run following a bungled robbery, a hidden, isolated village on the banks of a dry lake is the perfect place to hide.

It’s harvest time and the fugitives readily agree when they’re recruited by the local farmers to stay and work. But there’s something different about this place, something not quite right. The nervous locals, with their sideways glances and whispered conversations are overly friendly and a little too happy to see them.

When the long awaited rains finally come, filling the lake, the locals disappear behind locked doors and Ellie, Tom and Alf discover the real reason they’ve been invited.

See what I mean? We could be in for a twisted little gem here. At least we can hope right? HARVEST comes from a script by Leon Ford and unfortunately I couldn’t come up with any cast names for you guys, but I’m willing to bet it’s a bunch of unknowns anyway.

To help advertise HARVEST for this year’s Cannes festival Darclight have gone and released some very simple sales art for the film. Not even sure if we can call it that… It’s more like a nature still from the flick. Either way it oozes creepiness and can be found directly below.

Cannes is set to kick off on May 11th so I’m sure more HARVEST goods will be rolling our way in the coming weeks so be on the lookout for that!
