David Mazouz to be possessed by Incarnate for Blumhouse

We learned in September that Jason Blum's Blumhouse Productions was setting up the potential franchise-starter INCARNATE with Aaron Eckhart set to topline the cast of the possession thriller. Last month we learned that Catalina Sandino had also joined the cast, replacing Rosario Dawson who had to bow out due to scheduling issues. Today we've learned that "Touch" star David Mazouz has been tapped for a lead role in the Brad Peyton-helmed flick.

According to Deadline, Mazouz will be playing a boy found by an unconventional exorcist (Aaron Eckhart) who is possessed by a demon from the man’s past.

Scripted by Ronnie Christensen (DARK TIDE), INCARNATE will be directed by Brad Peyton and follows…

…an exorcist (Eckhart) who comes up against an evil from his past when he uses his supernatural skills to enter the subconscious of a nine-year-old boy who is possessed by a demon from his past. 

Jason Blum is producing with Couper Samuelson exec producing with Michael Seitzman and Trevor Engelson.
