Last month we brought you the news that ABC was developing a supernatural drama titled "Clementine" from THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE remake writer Dean Georgaris and producer Mark Gordon and today we've learned that an Emmy-award winning and Oscar-nominated actor has signed on for the pilot.

Deadline is reporting that "Alphas" and LINCOLN actor David Strathairn is set for a lead role in ABC's "Clementine", set to play the father of the titular character.

"Clementine" centers on...

...a habitual criminal who digs into the mystery of her origins after she becomes the target of a group of zealots who fear she possesses latent supernatural abilities that she will one day harness for either profound good or monstrous evil.

There is still no word as to when "Clementine" will go to air but we'll keep you updated on news regarding the show as we hear it.
