Day of the Dead: Bloodline rated R for bloody violence & gore

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Earlier this month we let you guys know that Saban Films has picked up the new DAY OF THE DEAD remake and plans to distribute the flick into theaters "by the end of the year."

Well, it looks like Saban is making good on their promise as the DAY OF THE DEAD: BLOODLINE has just been given an R-rating by the MPAA for "bloody violence and gore, language and brief sexuality/nudity."

As you may or may not know, films that go straight to video – or VOD nowadays – have no need to garner a rating from the MPAA so most tend to skip this annoying step. Meaning that DAY OF THE DEAD: BLOODLINE could very well be heading to theaters this year.

For better or worse…

What do you think of DAY OF THE DEAD: BLOODLINE thus far? Does this rating hurt or help your enthusiasm? Let us know in the comments below or on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!
