Development begins on Marcus Bradford’s Witchula, starring Maria Olsen

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Working from an idea that he and his father came up with in 2002, director Marcus Bradford is currently developing a film entitled WITCHULA, with production expected to begin later in 2016.

Bradford and his co-writer Pat Kusnadi have crafted a monster mash of a screenplay, their story featuring witches, werewolves, vampires, and – as the title implies – a witch/vampire hybrid that is set to be played by actress Maria Olsen (pictured above in ANOTHER), who has many genre credits to her name, including STARRY EYES and Rob Zombie’s THE LORDS OF SALEM.

Joining Olsen in the cast are Bill Oberst Jr., Eileen Dietz, and Marilyn Ghigliotti, and Bradford is planning to surround them with many more familiar faces, seeking to make WITCHULA “the EXPENDABLES of horror”.

WITCHULA is being produced by Bradford, Kusnadi, Matt Chassin, and John Blythe.

This sounds like a fun and ambitious project, I’m looking forward to hearing more about it as the development continues and production draws near. I’m also interested in learning why the main image currently associated with the project is this creepy little tent…
