Don’t avert your eyes from these two new “American Horror Story: Asylum” teasers

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

Last week brought us our first unsettling glimpse at the new direction of FX’s “American Horror Story,” and this week we have another, which can be seen below. Yes, it’s even weirder than the first teaser, “Special Delivery.”

Titled “Blue Coat,” the new preview features a couple of… what are they? Nurses? Nuns? Both? Anyway, they’re weird, as is the blue coat that gets pinned against the wall (keep an eye on it). The video, posted on AHS’ official Facebook page, comes with the caption: “Don’t try to escape. You’re being watched.”

Just as I was writing this up, along came a new preview, also posted below for your viewing pleasure. Called “Hydrobath”, the video is accompanied by the caption: “Are you ready for the birth of the new horror?” That vaginal tub is certainly ready to give birth to someone…

What the hell is going on here? Are we being given clues to the new season, “Asylum,” or are these just some arty visuals to get us in the right mood? Whatever the case, it’s working: I’m a-scared!

Jessica Lange, James Cromwell, Adam Levine, Jenna Dewan, Blake Sheldon, Chris Zylka, Joseph Fiennes, Chloe Sevigny, Clea Duvall, Mark Consuelos, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Lily Rabe and Zachary Quinto all appear in “American Horror Story: Asylum,” which premiere on FX sometime in October.
