HOLLOW MAN: DIRECTOR’S CUT – October 16th

Invisible boob grab. That’s all HOLLOW MAN needed for me to rate it high on the awesome list. That one scene alone made this film DVD collection worthy, and now in this unrated director’s cut… well, it can only go up from here. Entertaining trash at it’s finest, and only The Bacon could be that creepy while being invisible. That’s skill, baby!

The Goods:

PLANET TERROR – October 16th

Last week we spied the DEATH PROOF DVD cover art and specs, and here we have the other half of GRINDHOUSE, PLANET TERROR! I dig the cover here, even if there is a lot going on, and in true Robert Rodriguez fashion, the features are packing quite a punch. Only downfall? Now that we’ve seen the specs for both separately released GRINDHOUSE films, the big question still remains: where the hell are those faux trailers? As far as I can tell, they’re nowhere to be found. Boo.

The Goods:

SPECIES IV: THE AWAKENING -October 2nd

The whole SPECIES series combines two elements that are perfect for each: hot naked chicks, and scary looking aliens. And this STD installment to the series is no exception. Weak as f*ck in the feature department, but scoring high on the ‘hot chick on the cover’ department, so it’s all good in the hood. Likely worth a rental, and possible a blind buy if you own the rest of the series. Speaking of which…

The Goods:

SPECIES: COLLECTOR’S EDITION -October 2nd

If you’re contemplating whether to buy part IV, or the original in this brand new collector’s edition, I’d say go with this one. Great cast, sweet effects, one smokin’ hot naked babe (who gets naked multiple times throughout), and this edition is sporting enough extras that may even warrant a double dip. Hell, I’d buy this for two dollars!

SAW III: Director’s Cut –October 23rd – Because the unrated version wasn’t brutal enough… plus, what better way to prepare for part IV?

THE CHURCH –October 30th – Because there’s nothing scarier on earth than church. This movie just has the balls to come out and say it.

CANNIBAL MAN –November 13th – Because this is one f*cked up, and yet, totally awesome cover. Don’t you just wanna check it out, if only for curiosity sake?
