STIR OF ECHOES 2: THE HOMECOMING - November 20th

The first one rocked, so while this is likely an unnecessary attempt at banking off the original, it's probably still worth a look. Even if it was made for TV. On the Sci-Fi channel. And even if it stars Rob Lowe. Actually, I'm curious how they landed Lowe in this flick... and how he actually decided to do it! Must be a tough life, living in the shadow of your 80s Brat Pack former self...

    The Goods:

  • Anamorphic widescreen
  • Dolby Digital 5.1
  • Filmmaker commentary
  • Deleted scenes
  • Behind-the-scenes featurette
  • Trailers

    REEKER - September 25th

This indie slasher gem is finally making it's way to a DVD store near you. Lots of death, lots of cheese, lots of fun! Not sure how much I dig the cover art, but I like the quote by Variety at the top. Can't decide if it's a complementary quote, or if it's knocking it for being a piece of crap. I guess you'll have to pick it up to find out...

    The Goods:

  • 16:9 Widescreen
  • English Stereo and English Dolby Digital 5.1
  • The Making of Reeker

    SKINWALKERS - November 27th

Werewolves. Yay. Another movie that ended up blowing assholes because it decided to go the PG-13 werewolf route. While details are scarce, I am going to assume that they'll wisen up and release the flick in it's unrated form, which may... or may not... turn it into a noteworthy werewolf effort. I must say though, I dig the cover/poster art. Really, I do. But the tag line? I could've made a better one up in my sleep. Like 'Werewolves Are Scary', or 'You Better Run Cause They'll F*cking Rip You Apart'. Yeah... I like that much better.

    The Goods:

  • 2.35:1 Widescreen
  • English Dolby Digital 5.1
  • More TBA

    Reeker...

..."finally" on DVD? Uhm... then what the hell do I have in my hand right now? Hmmm... Reeker DVD, that I've had for months now. This must just be a re-release. Hellraiser is on my list tho, but alas, not X-Files. At $400CN, it's a LITTLE steep for my tastes.

Reeker was quite a disappointing little movie, I really don't like those types of films (but won't spoil it for people).

I honestly thought it was pretty stupid. A rehash of tons of stuff we've seen before. I dont get why alot of sites are digging it.
