HALLOWEEN - December 18th

Last week I gave ya'll the heads up this beast was coming, and lookee what I have here... artwork and specs, just as promised! 2 different versions will be released, both being unrated, but one being the director's cut... not really sure how that works, but I'm not complainin'! The cover art here kicks the crap out of the theatrical poster (which blew chunks), and with these kind of features... how can you go wrong?

The Goods:

  • 2 Disc Rated and Unrated Versions
  • Unrated director’s cut contains 11 extra minutes
  • Audio commentary by writer/director Rob Zombie
  • Alternate ending
  • 17 deleted scenes with optional director commentary
  • Re-Imagining Halloween documentary
  • Conversation With Rob Zombie featurette
  • Meet the Cast featurette
  • Screen tests
  • Bloopers

Thanks to Dr. Cam for the heads up!

WHITE NOISE 2: THE LIGHT - December 18th

I hated WHITE NOISE. Seriously, what the f*ck was that? I also hated that it killed at the box office (in it's first week of release, anyhow)... but you know what? I'm actually somewhat excited to check out it's STD sequel! Maybe it's because Nathan Fillion is in it (and he rocks), or because this has potential to take the awesome concept the first film had going for it... but to actually make it work. All I know is I probably won't get much sleep until this baby's finally released.

    The Goods:

  • Deleted scenes
  • Journey into Madness featurette
  • Making of White Noise 2 featurette
  • Featurette on near-death experiences

    BIKINI BLOODBATH - December 11th

Debbie Rochan. Bikinis. Slasher movie. What the f*ck else do you need? While I doubt this will go down in the history books, this tale of a volleyball team stalked by a serial killer will likely be one of the more entertaining flicks coming out on DVD this year. Seriously. Half of you out there would probably pick this flick up based on the title alone... the other half would pick it up based on it starring Debbie Rochan. Either way, I smell a winner on our hands.

    The Goods:

  • Widescreen
  • 5.1 Audio

Ok I just wanna comment on the Frostbitten review by Jimmy O.

First off he says it felt generic...um....sorry but so did 30 Days of Night. Not to mention this movie was made at least a year before 30 Days of Night was even written in screenplay form. Yes it might feel generic or a throwback to 80's films, but whats bad about that every now and then? The final act of Frostbitten was so well done, that it made up for the slow pacing in the start and cheesy, stereotypical horror movie-ness.

I'm sorry, but don't even talk like it's a rip off of 30 Days. I saw this movie at the Toronto After Dark Film Festival in 2006...before 30 Days was even announced.
