THE STRANGERS - October 21st
While this looks like an early draft, I'm gonna go ahead and say that this cover kicks ass! While I was a fan of the theatrical posters, there's something carnal and violent about this cover that I simply can't get enough of. Very f*cking cool... even if it looks a bit unfinished. Man that mask is creepy! If you had any doubt there'd be a movie for you to watch this Halloween season, then doubt no more! THE STRANGERS is hitting your living room just in time for the ghoulish fall festivities.
POULTRYGEIST: NIGHT OF THE CHICKEN DEAD - October 28th
Since I've been covering movie news on the site starting some 3 odd years ago, I've been covering news of POULTRYGEIST... and I'm glad to say it's finally being released for the masses to enjoy! Off the bat, I love the cover--they could have went for something lame and generic, but they didn't. They kept it cool and classy. The fact that it's a 3 disc special edition is exciting (details on what those 3 discs includes coming soon), and I love that Entertainment Weekly is being quoted! Who knew? And again, released just in time for Halloween...
THE HAPPENING - October 7th
I didn't have a chance to catch THE HAPPENING in theaters while it was out this summer. Not enough time and too many negative reviews for me to justify slapping $10 down just to watch the damn thing on the big screen. But now that it's coming to DVD, I'm getting pumped. Looks like an easy rental and now there's over one hour of bonus footage to enjoy! Ha, looks like I scored--no one who saw this beast in theaters had to sit for an extra hour of footage, and yet I will! Damn, I'm lucky. I did see one clip online that had me rolling with laughter... except it wasn't meant to be funny. It's just the acting was THAT good. Now I get to enjoy an extra hour of that? Awesome. F*cking awesome.
BURIED ALIVE - September 30th
This is the second BURIED ALIVE to hit DVD in the last few years, so let's set the record straight--this is not the BURIED ALIVE starring Tobin Bell. Now that we have that confusion cleared up, we can get excited about this beast, as it looks like it's about a guy who buries chicks alive. Wait, are we SURE this isn't the movie starring Bell? The similarities just keep flying at me! Anyway, you can only do so much with a concept like this... could be worth a rental though.
