FEAST II: SLOPPY SECONDS - October 7th

Ah balls, I'm a bit late on picking this f*cker up, especially since it hits DVD on Tuesday, but hey--it's a slow week and this beast looks awesome! Judging from the cover, there's a bunch of chicks against the monster we love to hate... and you know that's not a bad thing! Considering how much fun the first one was, I don't think we'll be disappointed here. The best part? Because I'm such a slacker, you only have to wait 4 days until you can check this out! Sweet!

The Goods:

  • 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround
  • Anamorphic Widescreen
  • Director's commentary
  • Deleted scenes

THE DARK KNIGHT - December 9th

The biggest movie in over 10 years will be hitting DVD just in time for the holidays in both single and two disc special editions. Greatest comic book movie ever? Greatest performance by a comic book villain ever? Best movie of the year? Yes, yes, and yes... probably. Sure, they'll be rereleasing the flick in theaters in January, but just think--you'll have a copy of your very own for an entire month to hold you over until you can watch it on the big screen again and (hopefully) break TITANIC's box office recod. That sinking boat doesn't have a chance...

    The Goods:

  • Gotham Uncovered documentary
  • Batman Tech: The Incredible Gadgets and Tools featurette
  • Batman Unmasked: The Psychology of The Dark Knight featurette
  • 6 episodes of Gotham Cable's Premier News Program
  • The Joker Cards gallery
  • Concept Art gallery
  • Poster Art gallery
  • Production Stills
  • Trailers
  • TV spots

    DEADLY MEMORIES - November 4th

You know it's a slow week when we feature a film about bad memories. Not just bad memories, but deadly memories. I'm just sitting here thinking how a memory, no matter how shitty that memory is (like that vacation you took when you were 8 and your parents left you at a roadside attraction in the middle of bumf*ck Egypt), could be deadly. Seriously, I'm just sitting here contemplating how a memory could kill yo and I just can't wrap my head around it. Then I think maybe this freak in the radioactive suit's name is Memory.. and there are more than one of them. See, Memories. Now it all makes sense...

    The Goods:

  • Anamorphic widescreen
  • English Dolby Digital 5.1
  • TBD

    DVD Covers:

    Honorable Mentions:

PIECES –October 28th – Because the tag line is awesome, even if it is a blatant rip-off of a classic.

DARK FORCES –October 28th – Because just once I'd like to see someone throw a kid off cliff.

BIKINI BLOODBATH CARWASH October 28th - Because Bikini, Bloodbath, and Carwash are all in the same title. Honestly, what more do you need in life?

That's all for this week! Stay tuned every week for your latest DVD news, and as always, feel free to shoot me an email (ammongilbert@joblo.com ) for any & all DVD news, scoops, and easter eggs!

Feast II was a rather large disapointment.

I jsut saw Joy Ride II... and for a STD horror flick, it was pretty good...

    PIECES

Anyone that hasn't seen "Pieces" needs to check it out. This 80's slasher pic from Spain is one of the most entertaining films of it's type i've ever seen. although a bit ludicrous, it still manages to deliver some decent scares, and is satisfyingly bloody. Also it should be noted, that despite the tagline, it really is nothing like "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre."
