THE HAUNTING IN CONNECTICUT
– July 14th

This movie sucked balls. It wasn’t scary, it wasn’t creepy, it wasn’t anything the kick-ass trailer alluded it would be. F*ck this movie. That said, you should check it out for yourself and partake in the HAUNTING OF CT bashing. Boo scares sprinkled throughout, and a premise that’s supposedly true… the only thing about this movie that didn’t suck was the poster (which they kept for the DVD cover–nice work) and the trailer. Bravo to the marketing team! Boo to the filmmakers! But don’t take my word for it–pick this bitch up in July and see for yourself.

    MUTANT CHRONICLES – August 4th

Thomas Jane holding a bigass gun, blowing away mutants in space and other crazy shit. That’s all I know about this movie, and that’s all I really need to know. It feels like this thing has been kicked around for hella days (they were pimping it at last year’s Comic Con), and now it’s finally getting some love on DVD. While word around the campfire is that it’s not a great movie, I would find it hard to believe that it isn’t entertaining. Throw in John Malkovich and Ron Perlman and you have yourself one helluva good time. Believe it.

THE CHAOS EXPERIMENT – August 4th

Oh Val Kilmer, you were once in TOP GUN and BATMAN FOREVER, and now you’re in some STD crap as a professor conducting experiments on young hot chicks. Well, actually, you put it that way, and I guess it’s really not that bad. While I’d like to see the guy come out with one more theatrical film before he dies, if he follows in Steven Seagal’s footsteps and has a flourishing career on DVD, then who am I to argue with him. Check this sucker out just for curiosity.

    The Goods:

  • Widescreen
  • Dolby Surround 5.1
