JENNIFER’S BODY – December 29
After viewing this catchy pile of dog shit, I realized that I must be getting old. The string of one-liners strung together to make up dialog by Diablo Cody was unimpressive and dopey, and I simply didn’t ‘get it.’ I also saw it the day of my 10 year High School Reunion, hitting the point home even more that I’m getting hella old and just ‘don’t get’ high schoolers anymore. Megan Fox was smokin’ hot and so was Amanda Seyfriend–and their make-out scene was even hotter. Maybe an extended version will be in the uncut DVD? If so, then it’d be worth it. Especially for my old ass.

MOON – January 12, 2010
The dudes over at the JoBlo Movie Podcast have gushed and gushed and gushed over how awesome this movie is. And I believe ’em, yo! I don’t know much about it, other than it’s Sam Rockwell rockin’ it and Kevin Spacey as the crazy computer voice. And that’s about it. To quote Jim Law, “the less you know about MOON, the better.” So I’ll stop at that.

THEY MUST EAT – December 29
I always wanted to have a group of savage beasts at my whim and every beckon call to do my evil bidding. You know, keep some C.H.U.D.’s in the basement, and let ’em out if your neighbor is being an asshole, or some girl scouts won’t leave you alone until you buy their candy. I think that’s the angle for this little number THEY MUST EAT. Which sounds, looks, and therefore, MUST be awesome. I could be lying, but I think this sucker deserves a blind buy.

THE FINAL DESTINATION – January 5
The fourth yet unlikely final FINAL DESTINATION flick is coming, this time in 3D with 2 pairs of 3D glasses. Cool beans. Of course, if you’ve seen any of the previous films in the series, you’s already seen FD4, but hey–the 3D makes it fun, right? At least they kept the kick-ass cover art. I’m in love with screaming skulls through broken glass. Good shite.
The Goods:
BLOOD CREEK – January 19th – Because Nazi’s are scary, and genetically modified mutant Nazi’s are even scarier.
THE EVIL OFFSPRING – December 29th – Because if you see a house like that, you know it’s probably a good idea to run away in the opposite direction.
THE TOOLBOX MURDERS [Blu-ray] – January 26th– Because this cover is awesome. Yeah, it’s a genre classic… but the cover is what sells it for me, hands down. Nice!
