TRIANGLE - February 2, 2010
If you thought Jason simply tossed his potato sack away when he acquired the Hockey Mask in PART 3, you're wrong. He put it aside so he could come back as the killer in Christopher Smith's TRIANGLE, as he always wanted to stalk and slaughter Melissa George, and he misses being on a boat from PART 8. Truth be told, this flick looks pretty righteous, and it even has two covers! Bonus!
The Goods:
ACROSS THE HALL - January 19, 2010
Somewhere along the lines, Brittany Murphy became the goddess of STD flicks, following in the footsteps of her male predecessors Cuba Gooding Jr. and Val Kilmer. This time she's a cheating whore who's about to have a killer time when her husband and lover meet up in a hotel. Goddamn that sounded dirtier than it probably should have. Either way, it's Murphy's fine ass in yet another STD thriller.
The Goods:
DIAGNOSIS: DEATH - December 29
In this week's WTF DVD, we have what appears to be a hospital that operates using chainsaws, hammers, and giant syringes. They also only operate on two headed freaks, as in the man with the lady head for his feet (or is it the other way around?). And since when does Health Care solve any problems? Wow. I'm in utter amazement at how WTF this cover, and movie, really is. And yet... I totally want to check it out. Where can I sign up?
The Goods:
HOUSE OF THE DEVIL - February 2nd
If you're into horror flicks with lots of build up and little pay off, where they showcase a chick living her everyday, boring, mundane life for over an hour, then HOUSE OF THE DEVIL may be for you. I thought it was creepy as hell and a nice throwback to 1980s horror cinema, problem is that it's just too damn boring to give a damn. That said, I'm digging the DVD art! Nice that they stuck with one of the original poster designs. Now only if the movie was exciting as this...

CHILDREN OF THE CORN / HELLRAISER [Blu-ray] December 29th Because one good movie deserves another--but what an odd pair!
QUIET NIGHTS OF BLOOD AND PAIN - February 16th Because one WTF DVD this week wasn't enough.
