Once again, Anchor Bay comes to the rescue! While there are a few HALLOWEEN sequels out there that aren’t worth a second look, PART 4 is arguably the best (sequel) in the series- and PART 5’s… well, it was better than HALLOWEEN: RESURECTION! I’m always happy to see my favorite slasher flicks from the 80s treated like kings on DVD- now there’s some respect! Now all I want to know is… where’s the COMPLETE HALLOWEEN COLLECTION, yo?

REVENGE OF THE LIVING DEAD GIRLS – August 8th

It’s French, and it contains lots of sex and gore- all involving zombies! What’s not to love here? Billed as one of the most perverse movies ever made (as well as France’s first ‘gore film’ back in 1987), this sick beast features zombie hotties in skimpy outfits and a few ‘decayed skulls’ to tickle even the most hardcore horror fan’s funny bone. Best of it all- it’s all presented here in it’s totally uncut format! Be sure to watch with a barf bucket nearby, you’re gonna need it!

UNIVERSAL HORRORS – FRANCHISE COLLECTIONS – September 19th

If you like your horror franchises as much as I do, this may have you jumping for joy, or it may send you lunatic raving mad. Three new collections released by Universal: THE BORIS KARLOFF COLLECTION, INNER SANCTUM MYSERTIES: THE COMPLETE MOVIE COLLECTION, and finally CHUCKY: THE KILLER DVD COLLECTION. I say jumping for joy on the first two, as I’ve never heard of INNER SANCTUM MYSTERIES before, so I’m stoked to check them out, and everyone should have some Boris Karloff in their DVD collection. But what the hell’s up with the second release of THE CHUCKY COLLECTION – without the first CHILD’S PLAY??? It ticked me off with the first collection release, and it really ticks me off now- what gives?

To tell you the truth, I didn’t even know there was a PART 2 to HENRY, so I think I just may have to check it out this September. I mean, as the new cover states, it’s from the director of ED GEIN and THE HILLSIDE STRANGLER, so it can’t be all that bad, right? Well, that’s what I’ll keep telling myself…

Same day HENRY 2 hits stores, so does the long awaited double disc treatment of TCM- to go with your other 4 previously released editions. Ok, so besides the weak ass cover, this edition is lookin’ to be the mother of all editions with an assload of special features and your very own bloody hammer to beat your friends with.
