BLACK CHRISTMAS - December 5th
Easily sporting one of the better taglines in horror history, this yuletide tale of terror hits DVD just in time for the remake, which will likely be a pile of crap. So save yourself the theater ticket, and pick this badboy up! Plus, does anyone else find it ironic that director Bob Clark was also responsible for the defintive Christmas movie A CHRISTMAS STORY? Well… I do.

BLACKWATER VALLEY EXORCISM - October 17th
The flick was previously titled SINCE EXORICSM OF EMILY ROSE DID SO WELL WE THOUGHT WE’D COPY IT, but they decided that that title was way too long. So instead we have this similarly long title for yet another exorcism movie based on true events. What they should do is make movies based on true events involving cannibals and serial killers. Oh wait. They already do movies like that… Um, how about based on true life Asian gang-bangs? That would be cool…

MASTERS OF HORROR - HAECKEL’S TALE - November 14th
Yet another action-packed DVD from those MASTERS OF HORROR, this time showcasing John McNaughton’s direction. After HENRY, this guy could do no wrong. Then I saw WILD THINGS, and realized the guy’s a frickin’ genius! Plus, it’s based on a short story by Clive Barker, with a screenplay by Mick Garris. If you missed it on Showtime, now here’s your chance to redeem yourself.

Is this really necessary?
A NIGHTMARE ON ELM ST. - September 26th – Because it’s Freddy F*cking Krueger, the way he was meant to be seen! And because fresh-faced Johnny Depp has a pretty sweet death scene.
SOLITUDE - October 17th - Because it’s your classic tale of murder and incest, a movie every brother and sister should see together!
REST STOP– October 17th – Because rest stops are scary, and so is this movie. Ok, it doesn’t look scary, but it does look like a good time!
That's all for this week! Stay tuned every week for your latest DVD news, and as always, feel free to shoot me an email ([email protected] ) for any & all DVD news, scoops, and easter eggs!
