TH3RE – April 24th

Apparently this flick just made it’s theatrical debut over the weekend, and already it’s preparing for it’s DVD release. That’s when you know it’s a good flick- cause they want you to buy it as soon as you’ve seen it in the theater, right? RIGHT? Survey points to ‘no’, but it’s surprising that a movie based on a book bombed this bad. Maybe it just didn’t find it’s audience… yeah, that’s it…

The Goods:

  • Anamorphic Widescreen
  • Full Screen Presentations
  • English Dolby Digital 5.1
  • Theatrical Trailer

THE ADDAMS FAMILY: VOLUME 2 – March 27th

Who’s kooky, spooky and… um, dooky. No, that’s not it. Damnit! I can’t remember! Maybe that’s a good sign that it’s time for my ass to pick this DVD up, as after sitting through the opening credits twenty some-odd times I may have the damn tune stuck in my head for the next 30 years. But until then, I’ll just have to make some shit up… They’re kooky and they’re fooky…

    The Goods:

  • 1.33:1 Full Frame
  • English Mono
  • Audio Commentary (not confirmed)

  • Making of Featurette (not confirmed)

That is, as long as you’re into dudes who can talk to the dead… and to cats. Talk about some sweet skills!

HOUSE BY THE CEMETARY – April 24th

Much like the above BLACK CAT, this Fulci flick is for a limited time only- so don’t waste time, or I’ll have to waste you. Just kidding…or am I? If you take anything from this flick, it should be that living in a house by the cemetery (any cemetery, really), is a really f*cking bad idea. Cause if you do, you’ll like be brutally killed, or your head will be taken off and some guy might stick his wang in your eye socket. And that’s not be cool.

    The Goods:

  • Widescreen
  • Dolby Surround 2.0
  • Trailers
  • TV Spots
  • Bios
  • Picture Gallery

DEATH ROW aka THE HAUNTED PRISON – March 6th

Watch the trailer for this flick below and tell me it doesn’t look awesome. Yes, it may look horrible (which it does), and it may look cheesy (guilty again), but damnit Jim, it looks like one entertaining good ride! Throw in Danny Trejo in the mix as a prison guard of all things, and you have yourselves a speeming good time. Plus, what do chicks do in abandoned haunted prisons? They take showers, of course! Check it out below to see that I ain’t lyin’ to ya.

    The Goods:

  • anamorphic widescreen transfer
  • Dolby Digital 5.1 & 2.0 audio
  • commentary with writer/director Kevin Van Hook

    DVD Covers:

    Honorable Mentions:

THE GHOST – April 24th – Because it’s what happens when you’re friends with ghosts- they kill everyone you know around you. So take that as a lesson, and don’t be friends… with ghosts.

SLAUGHTER NIGHT aka SL8N8 – April 10th – Because it’s a morality tale about why you shouldn’t get plastic surgery. You get plastic surgery… you die. Simple life lesson right there.

    TURISTAS
    – April 17th – Because it’s about time you took a vacation… in human organ smuggling hell! Yay!
