BLACK CHRISTMAS - April 3rd
Looks like Christmas is in April this year... a Black Christmas, if you will. Since I know of maybe 3 people who actually saw this in the theater, it may just do you some good to get ready to rent this sucker when it hits DVD- just make sure it's the Unrated version, as those extra 5 minutes takes this from Crap to Masterpiece- just like that. Wow. I can't wait... Acutally, just save yourself the agony, and pick up the original instead. Though if you rent it just to check out the babelicous cast, I suppose that's cool too.
PAN’S LABYRINTH - May 15th
Missed this gem when it was supposedly playing in theaters everywhere? Yeah, you, me and everyone else! Though May is a good ways away, checking out this masterpiece of a film is worth the wait... or so I hear. Actually, waiting 4 months sucks! I wanna see it now! But check out at all the features this 2 disc special edition sports... from the looks of things, those are gonna be worth waiting for.
NIGHT OF THE LIVING DORKS - February 20th
Billed somewhere between NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD and AMERICAN PIE, this German horror/comedy is finally seeing the light of day on DVD. I keep thinking of SHAUN OF THE DEAD and that silly flick IDLE HANDS when I see this cover, and I'm not really sure why. Oh yeah. Zombies. Comedy. That's why. Also, I do know that Jessica Alba was in HANDS, and she's way hot... which reminds me, I really need to add that flick to my DVD collection...
MOH: PRO-LIFE - March 20th
The great John Carpenter is at it again, with his latest entry in the MASTERS OF HORROR series finally hitting DVD. What makes it even better than that? The great Ron Perlman stars alongside the beautiful Emmanuelle Vaugier (who we last saw getting all cut up in SAW II)- with a winning wham-bam thank-you-ma'm combo like that, this is one MASTERS OF HORROR that spells fun with a capitol P. As in Pro-Life.
PHANTASM III: LORD OF THE DEAD –April 10th– Because it may not be the best of the best, but it’s a flippin’ PHANTASM movie, so give it some love!
THE MARSH –April 17th– Because it’s an award winner, and even stars Oscar nominee Forest Whitaker!
TERMINAL INVASION –TBA– Because it’s directed by Sean S. Cunningham, and stars Bruce Campbell. Seriously, what more do you need than that?
As an extra bonus, check out the Music Video that's a 'special feature' on the upcoming SUCCUBUS - HELL BENT DVD, which slams onto shelves April 17th. Bad Song, Great Video!
Thanks to AVIDWIZ for the heads up!
