Eli Roth's Clown is finally coming to the States this Summer

03.22.2016by: Brennan Klein

In the latest "Eli Roth's movies getting jerked around" news, the long-awaited CLOWN (directed by Jon Watts but produced by Roth) will finally be hitting American theaters in a limited release and on VOD on June 17, 2016. Honestly, I'll believe it when I see it, because that still gives distributors plenty of time to back out. After all this time, the hype is going to be so unbearable that people will either love or hate the film (à la ALL THE BOYS LOVE MANDY LANE), which will certainly be an interesting process to watch. Check out the trailer below!

It’s Jack’s 10th birthday, but the clown has cancelled. His dad, Kent, finds an old clown suit in the attic and saves the party. But after the party is over, Kent has a problem… the suit won’t come off. What starts as a joke quickly turns into a hellish nightmare. Kent can feel himself changing, and his desperate attempts to free himself just leave him in agonising pain.

As the suit takes hold of his body, Kent slowly endures a brutal transformation. As he changes, an uncontrollable hunger begins to consume him, an overwhelming and insatiable hunger… for children.

Peter Stormare, Laura Allen, Christian DiStefano, Elizabeth Whitmere, Matthew Stefiuk, and Andy Powers star.

Extra Tidbit: Will you be seeing CLOWN once it's finally released?
