Evil Dead remake reveals its Necronomicon, Book of the Dead!

Got a sweet Halloween treat for you here with this one, a perfect companion piece to the EVIL DEAD trailer the ripped your guts out a week or so ago. As you'll find below, courtesy of the official FB page for the flick, the Necronomicon (Book of the Dead) has been revealed. Simply scroll to peep to the scroll and tell us what you think!

In the much anticipated remake of the 1981 cult-hit horror film, five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.

Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez, Lou Taylor Pucci, Jessica Lucas and Elizabeth Blackmore all star in the Fede Alvarez film, opening wide April 12th.

I like it and think it looks more believable than the face. Everything about this remake is looking fine to me.

Booooooo!

I really want to make a petition against this movie. Maybe if enough people say no to it, they'll just work on part 4 instead. I'd even settle for a new game in the vein of Hail to the King for more on the original story.

I really wish they could have worked a face into the book like the original series. I know that this is a different movie with a different Necronomicon, but it looks lacking in comparison.
