Evilspeak and Final Exam to get the Scream Factory treatment

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

We are huge fans of Scream Factory around these parts (and really..who isn't?). Our very own The Arrow recently got to check out the Scream Factory offices (that lucky devil!) and we're always stoked to hear any annoucement from the best distribution business in the genre. Just last week we got word that Scream Factory would be unleashing Brian De Palma's PHANTOM OF THE PARADISE on us in the Summer of 2014, and now, just mere days later, we have word on two more releases to get excited about.

Over on their official Facebook page the cool cats over at Scream Factory made the announcement that 1981's college campus slasher film FINAL EXAM and 1982's satanic revenge epic EVILSPEAK (starring Clint Howard) will both be making their debuts on Blu-ray both for the first time this summer! Can I get a 'Hell yeah!'?

Eric Weston's EVILSPEAK terrified me as a child when I first caught it on HBO late one night, so I'm eager to revisit this one as soon as it drops. EVILSPEAK concerns…

A military cadet who happens to be a social outcast taps into a way to summon demons and cast spells on his tormentors through his computer.

I've never peeped Jimmy Huston's 1981 cult classic FINAL EXAM but I'll most definitely rectify that when Scream Factory drops this one on Blu-ray next year.

In a small college in North Carolina, only a select few students are left to take mid terms. But, when a killer strikes, it could be everyone's final exam.

These titles were previously with Code Red – another long-time cult film home entertainment company – for some time and the Scream Factory shared their excitement on the deal with them for these two guilty pleasures. Expect the same extras that were on the prior Code Red DVD releases to be imported over. More details on street date and if any more extras are planned will be revealed in the new year.
