F13 III’s Fox may be added to Friday the 13th: The Game

I haven't had the chance to play Gun Media's Friday the 13th: The Game just yet, but from what I see on social media it appears that there are a whole lot of FRIDAY THE 13TH fans out there having a great time gathering together to play the online multiplayer version of the game. That's not all the fun to be had with this game, either. A single player version is coming out later this year, and its developers are always working on ways to add to and/or improve the game.

One addition they would like to make: they want to add FRIDAY THE 13TH PART III's biker girl Fox into the game as a playable character. Aside from iconic slasher Jason Voorhees, this would make Fox only the second character from the films to be in the game as a playable character – the other being FRIDAY THE 13TH 4, 5, and 6 hero Tommy Jarvis.

The addition of Fox to the game would be a tribute to actress Gloria Charles, who sadly passed away last December. 

Speaking with Bloody-Disgusting, Gun Media's Wes Keltner had this to say: 

We’ve had a soft spot for Fox since we first saw her in Part 3. She was tough, pretty, and seemed to take time to have fun (swinging on the rope in the barn; "This feels gooooood!"). I never got the chance to meet Gloria Charles in real life, but something tells me that some of those same characteristics were a part of her real persona too. We wanted to pay tribute to that character, but more importantly, Gloria. It's a shame that we lost her. My heart sank when I read the news of her passing. We gathered as a team and collectively agreed. If there's something we can do, we should do it.”

Keltner reached out to the site about Fox and Gloria Charles because Gun Media is currently trying to get in contact with Charles' estate so they can get permission to use her likeness in the game. So far they have been unsuccessful at finding the right people to ask, and hope that FRIDAY fans will be able to point them in the right direction.

The fans built the films and our game, so we're going back to them to ask another favor. Help us locate her estate and pay tribute to Gloria Charles. We realize this is a small gesture, perhaps trivial to some… but to us and all the F13 fans out there, it’s more than that. Let's pay tribute to a wonderful actress and bring Fox back to Crystal Lake.”
