Fear the Walking Dead gets a full trailer, release date

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

This overload of undead news coming from San Diego Comic-Con almost feels like a zombie horde threatening to overtake us all. But in the best way possible. Along with the new Walking Dead Season 6 trailer and casting announcement, we've also received a full trailer for the spinoff series Fear the Walking Dead, putting together all the snippets we've been receiving over the past few weeks. Now we're receiving a full sense of what the show is going to look like, as well as the characters populating its universe.

Parts of this season will take place during the apocalypse itself, so we will get to see the world descend into madness, a luxury we were not given during the original series, so at least the spin-off has a slightly different direction it can go right off the bat. This new show seems a little more modern than The Walking Dead, but it also seems a little more like Under the Dome, so this could go either way. Check out the trailer below!

Fear the Walking Dead takes us back to the beginning of the zombie apocalypse – a time when the world was changing rapidly for reasons unknown, before anyone understood exactly what was happening, when life as everyone knew it was upended and altered in ways no one could have ever imagined.

The series, set in Los Angeles, stars Kim Dickens as Madison, Cliff Curtis as Travis, Frank Dillane  as Nick, Alycia Debnam-Carey as Alicia, Elizabeth Rodriguez as Liza, Ruben Blades as Daniel, Mercedes Mason as Ofelia and Lorenzo James Henrie as Chris.

The extended premiere episode of Fear the Walking Dead will air on AMC on August 23rd, 2015 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.
