Good show, works using the same concepts both Van Helsing & League of Extraordinary Gentlemen tried and failed at. I'm confident that you actually have to try hard to make classic monsters work to modern audiences, and this series does a fresh take on it.

Disappointed

You know I was enjoying this show until they made every character gay. I mean, I don't have a problem with gay folks, but the all the gayness in the first season felt more like a little kid waving their arms yelling, "hey, look at me" than it did thoughtful story telling.

And by every character you mean just Dorian Gray and possibly Ethan Chandler as bi-sexual characters. I barely remember the "gayness" of the show because I was distracted by Eva Green's insanely good performance.

This series is amazing and it's a shame that a few scenes in an above-average quality genre show upset you so. Just think of all the gay people out there who have to endure the majority of programming showcasing ONLY heterosexual relationships. Now that's tedious.
