If you happen to be acquainted with the works of Franz Kafka, you might be interested to know that the first ever feature adaptation of his 1915 novella METAMORPHOSIS has just been completed. Better yet, you can see the first trailer below.

Metamorphosis is the story of a traveling salesman who wakes up one morning after disturbing dreams to find himself transformed into a giant insect-like creature. The narrative then traces the interaction of Gregor and his family as he slowly starves to death for want of the right kind of sustenance. But what effect does his life and death have on his family?

Written and directed by Chris Swanton, the movie stars Maureen Lipman, Robert Pugh, Laura Rees and Chris New. METAMORPHOSIS will have its premiere at the 6th Annual B-Movie Celebration in Franklin, Indiana, on September 14th and 15th. Visit its OFFICIAL SITE HERE

Extra Tidbit: Anyone remember the 1993 adaptation of THE TRIAL, starring Anthony Hopkins?

Awesome! I had heard of but never read any Franz Kafka. and then just this past semester I took a lit class at college and we read The Metamorphosis. It was one of my favorite stories from the whole class. I will be looking forward to this!
