Here's the first still from CELL, the adaptation of Stephen King's novel of the same name from director Tod Williams (PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 2). The image gives us a look at actors Isabelle Fuhrman, Samuel L. Jackson, John Cusack and Owen Teague; they aren't doing anything exciting at this particular moment, but rest assured they're in the midst of a horrendous apocalypse, so something assuredly dreadful is happening just off camera.
When a powerful signal is broadcast across mobile networks worldwide, cell phone users’ minds are instantly and dangerously re-programmed. Heading north through New England in search of his wife and son, Clay Riddell (Cusack) is joined by a group of survivors hoping to fend off the bloodthirsty and hyper-connected “phoners.”
The screenplay for CELL was penned by King and Adam Alleca. Expect it to hit sometime next year.
