First teaser trailer for subterranean thriller The Underneath

I've always been a sucker for underground-set, claustrophobic thrillers/horror flicks. The whole 'trapped underground' thing just scares the hell out of me and that is reason numero uno why you'll never convince me to go spelunking. Who knows what terrors lie in wait down there? I've seen THE DESCENT, so I'm not taking any chances, man! Besides, it's dark in there!

A few months back we shared some stills from a new subterranean thriller coming at us from Origin Releasing titled THE UNDERNEATH, and today we have a look at the latest promotional artwork (over to the right) that asks "What's Your Biggest Fear" (probably what's happening to the lady in that picture there, if you must know! Buried alive…ugh…) and a groovy teaser trailer for the Brian T. Jaynes-helmed flick that stars Holt Boggs (THE PRODIGY, SINNERS AND SAINTS), Natalie Wilemon (PATIENT ZERO), and Larry Jack Dotson (HUMANS VS. ZOMBIES) and works from a screenplay by David Wilson. You can peep the teaser below, following the films' synopsis, which reads:

The film follows a young newlywed couple who find themselves trapped in a network of underground caves. With her husband (Holt Boggs)  injured, the new bride (Natalie Wilemon) is forced to find her way back to the surface in order to save his life. In the process, they discover a terrifying truth about the "underneath", that they are not alone. Something evil is hunting them…"

Look for THE UNDERNEATH to hit DVD/Blu-Ray, VoD, and Pay-Per-View this September.
