First trailer for David Gelb’s The Lazarus Effect, starring Olivia Wilde

Earlier this week we brought you your first look at Olivia Wilde in director David Gelb's upcoming Blumhouse horror pic THE LAZARUS EFFECT, which we quickly followed up with the first poster a few hours later. Now we've got the trailer for this supernatural shocker for ya to check out.

Here’s what we know about THE LAZARUS EFFECT:

The film follows a team of research students who discover the secret to bringing subjects back from the dead; however, their actions result in a series of sinister consequences.

Directed by Gelb from a script by Luke Dawson and Jeremy Slater, THE LAZARUS EFFECT also stars Mark Duplass, Evan Peters and Donald Glover.

The trailer below does a good job setting up the FLATLINERS-esque storyline, delivering a couple of pretty creepy images (a resurrected Wilde sitting up, shrouded in a sheet is rather effective), but it should come with a SPOILER warning as it seems to reveal a certain character's death which I'm surprised they chose to include in the first trailer.

THE LAZARUS EFFECT comes out on February 27.
