Fourth season of The Walking Dead adds Alanna Masterson

With AMC's "The Walking Dead" only a few weeks away it's time to officially start boarding up all the windows because the dead will soon be dragging their rotting corpses our way. Today it was announced that a new face will be joining the ranks of AMC's hit undead series as it sees “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" star Alanna Masterson join the cast. She will recur in the upcoming fourth season with an option to become a regular in Season 5 of the zombie drama. Details on her role are scarce but she will be introduced in the middle of the season as a new survivor in the world of the walking dead, says Deadline.

In the highly anticipated new season, we find Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and the group fostering a thriving community in the safe haven of the prison. Sadly, in this brutal world, happiness is short-lived and walkers and outside threats are no match for danger brewing inside the fences. The group’s home and new way of life will be thoroughly tested, and their struggle to survive has never been so perilous.

"The Walking Dead" Season 4 begins on October 13th and is based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman and published by Image Comics. "The Walking Dead" also stars Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Chandler Riggs, Scott Wilson, Melissa McBride, David Morrissey, Emily Kinney, DanaiGurira, Chad Coleman and Sonequa Martin-Green.
