Fox 2000 has picked up a thriller spec script from screenwriter Peter Dowling titled HIGHRISE which is described as being in the vein of the Stephen King story and subsequent movie MISERY, this time set in a Manhattan skyscraper, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Dowling is best known for his script work on the 2005 Jodie Foster-starring FLIGHT PLAN as well as writing and directing the 2008 thriller STAG NIGHT, starring Breckin Meyer.

Jon Shestack, whose credits include AIR FORCE ONE and DAN IN REAL LIFE, is on board to produce.
