Frankenstein, starring Daniel Radcliffe, gets a release date

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

Daniel Radcliffe will be portraying the unlikeliest Igor in movie history in Paul McGuigan's FRANKENSTEIN, based on a screenplay by CHRONICLE scribe Max Landis. The film doesn't begin production until this fall, but it's already set up a cushy 2014 release date.

20th Century Fox will release FRANKENSTEIN on October 17, 2014. Yep, right before our favorite holiday, and only a couple of months after Universal shows off their new DRACULA.

Story details aren't available, but Variety called this take on FRANKENSTEIN "a tale of friendship and redemption." It has also been called a "revisionist" take on the story, so don't be surprised if it's updated to modern times or altered in a more palatable way for today's audience.

We'll keep you updated as more info on FRANKENSTEIN comes in.
