Fan film Friday the 13th: Vengeance picks up where Jason Lives left off

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

"Friday the 13th Vengeance combines death, brutality and creativity to bold storytelling in this dark take on the franchise."

I've said it before and I'll say it again, but the future of horror seems to be in the hands of the fans as some of the fan-made short films coming out are the only things keeping FRIDAY THE 13TH and A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET alive. And today is no different as we have word that a new FRIDAY THE 13TH fan film FRIDAY THE 13TH: VENGEANCE has been fully funded over on Kickstarter. And it sounds like a whopper.

Vengeance takes place roughly thirty years after the events of JASON LIVES: FRIDAY THE 13TH PART VI and begins with Elias Voorhees returning to Crystal Lake to battle Tommy Jarvis' daughter Angelica Jarvis. Not only that, but this film has cast C.J. Graham (Jason from JASON LIVES) as Elias Voorhees, and Steve Dash (one of the Jasons from FRIDAY THE 13 PART 2) as a character that is soon to be announced.

FRIDAY THE 13TH: VENGEANCE begins

With Elias Voorhees, Jason’s father, returning to Crystal Lake and a string of grisly murders that soon follows his arrival. After hearing the news of the most recent killings Tommy Jarvis then goes missing, which leaves it up to his daughter Angelica Jarvis to rise to the challenge of not only finding her father but also finding a way to destroy his old nemesis Jason Voorhees in the process. Armed with knowledge never previously known about Jason, Angelica may prove to be his greatest threat yet, which culminates in an epic showdown of Jarvis vs. Voorhees.

As mentioned above, this new short will feature C.J. Graham as Elias Voorhees, Jason Brooks as Jason Voorhees, Sanae Loutsis as Trisha Jarvis, and Lexington Vanderberg as Angelica Jarvis. Diana Prince, Veronica Ricci, Ray Hopper, Caleb Ryden, Austin Von Johnson, and Ellen Smith round out the cast. Steve Dash's character is currently TBA. Jeremy Brown & Dustin Montierth direct the short from a screenplay written by Mike Meade. Mike Strawn is the production designer and JASON LIVES writer-director Tom McLoughlin is the film's consultant.

Check out the poster and Kickstarted video below and then let us know what you think! The film has already hit and surpassed its initial $25,000 goal with a current total of $39,613 with 18 days to go. Impressive shite, right?! All the same, you can still contribute for kick-ass perchs RIGHT HERE.
