Full Scream 4 synopsis leaked with announcement of test screenings

Easily one of, if not the, most anticipated genre flicks of 2011 is Wes Craven’s SCREAM 4. Say what you want about Craven and the SCREAM franchise but fact of the matter is the lot of you are very much looking forward to this fourth installment of the popular franchise. Personally I’m a huge fan of the SCREAM franchise and can’t wait to check this little diddy out! And I’m sure I’m not alone.

So when news comes rolling in that we may have the official synopsis for the flick on our hands you can bet your ass I’m going to tell you all about it! Thanks to the recent announcement of some SCREAM 4 test screenings about to get underway we’ve got a look at a more detailed synopsis for the flick. Now mind you this hasn’t been announced as the official plot but we’re going to go ahead and roll with it! Enough of my rambling though, check out the goods:

Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell), now the author of a self-help book, returns home to Woodsboro on the last stop of her book tour. There she reconnects with Sheriff Dewey (David Arquette) and Gale (Courteney Cox), who are now married, as well as her cousin Jill (Emma Roberts) and her Aunt Kate (Mary McDonnell). Unfortunately Sidney’s appearance also brings about the return of Ghostface, putting Sidney, Gale, and Dewey, along with Jill, her friends, and the whole town of Woodsboro in danger.

Alright then…. now that things are all laid out I can really get on board this one. Sounds like a perfect addition to the franchise, no? What do you guys think? I’m sure you’ve guys got something to say so go ahead and spit some bullets below!

Along with Campbell, Arquette, Cox, Roberts and McDonnell the flick also stars Hayden Panettiere, Rory Culkin, Marielle Jaffe, Marley Shelton, Anthony Anderson, Alison Brie (below), Nico Tortorella, Erik Knudsen, Adam Brody and Roger Jackson. This shite hits theaters everywhere on April 15th!
