A couple months ago, a teaser trailer was released for director Luca Guadagnino's remake of the 1977 Dario Argento classic SUSPIRIA, a teaser that didn't reveal much at all but was quite effective at stirring up a moody atmosphere with the images it showed. Now a full trailer has arrived online, and as expected this one digs a bit deeper into what sort of story the film is telling.

Scripted by David Kajganich, the new take on SUSPIRIA stars Dakota Johnson, Tilda Swinton, Mia Goth, Lutz Ebersdorf, Jessica Harper and Chloë Grace Moretz. The synopsis:

A darkness swirls at the center of a world-renowned dance company, one that will engulf the troupe's artistic director (Swinton), an ambitious young dancer (Johnson), and a grieving psychotherapist (Ebersdorf). Some will succumb to the nightmare. Others will finally wake up.

Amazon Studios will be giving Guadagnino's SUSPIRIA a theatrical release in New York and Los Angeles on October 26, with the film expanding nationwide on November 2, 2018.

This remake looks like it has the potential to be great to me, although I'm not sure how it's going to sustain a 152 minute running time. The trailer can be seen below, along with a batch of character posters.
