It’s a “Game of Thrones” reunion in THE FOREST, the supernatural thriller set in the Aokigahara forest at the base of Mt. Fuji. Michiel Huisman, who plays Daario Naharis in “GoT”, joins Natalie Dormer (Margaery Tyrell) in the film, which is based on a David S. Goyer idea and is being directed by Jason Zada.

THE FOREST is a supernatural thriller set in the legendary Aokigahara forest at the base of Mt. Fuji. Against this incredible backdrop, a young American woman goes in search of her twin sister, who has mysteriously disappeared. Despite everyone’s warnings to “stay on the path,” Sara enters the forest determined to discover the truth about her sister’s fate, only to be confronted by the angry and tormented souls of the dead who prey on anyone who wanders the forest.

Focus Features acquired North American distribution rights to the film and has scheduled a wide release on January 8, 2016.
