A Cure for Wellness Gore Verbinski Dane DeHaan

Last week, JoBlo's own Paul Shirey got a chance to watch the first 35 minutes of A CURE FOR WELLNESS, THE RING remake director Gore Verbinski's return to the horror genre – a film that Verbinski says he hopes will do for wellness spas what JAWS did for the beach. Shirey was impressed by what he saw, calling A CURE FOR WELLNESS "a creepy and provoking flick in the making". When you combine that endorsement with the promos and teaser we've seen before, this movie is shaping up to be one of the most intriguing genre releases of 2017.

Helping boost the curiosity factor about this film even further is the South Korean trailer, which can be seen below and is packed with creepy imagery and cool music.

The story of A CURE FOR WELLNESS centers on a man who

is sent to rescue his boss from a European “wellness spa.” He soon realizes he's trapped, and discovers that the facility has a more sinister purpose than just serving the health needs of its patients.

Dane DeHaan, Jason Isaacs, and Mia Goth star.

So far, the marketing for this film is keeping its secrets tightly under wraps. We'll find out exactly what's going on in this sinister spa when A CURE FOR WELLNESS is released on February 17, 2017.
